Barça continue to scour the market for right-backs

Barça are looking for a right-back and the options continue to accumulate. One of the names that has appeared in the last few hours is Achraf Hakimi, 23 years, and an old LaLiga acquaintance. According to El Chringuito, the former Madrid player is Barça's target to reinforce the defence.

PSG signed Achraf a year ago for a fee of around 70 million with variables, and he signed until 2026. Before that, Inter signed him from Real Madrid for 45 million euros. These are high figures, which is why the operation seems difficult from the outset, especially since the selling club would be PSG. He also plays an important role in the French club and last season he played 41 games.

The other name that has featured strongly is Olympique Lyon's full-back Malo Gusto. As reported in L'Équipe, both Barça and Manchester United are interested in the player. Only 19 years of age, he is among the most promising full-backs in the competition. Barça, however, would find a tough negotiator in Jean-Michel Aulas, head of Lyon. The player is unlikely to leave for less than 40 million.

These two names join the two favourites of the management, Juan Foyth and Thomas Meunier. In the case of the Argentinian, Villarreal are currently demanding 42 million, an amount that Barça are unwilling to pay. Barça are also looking at Bellerín, the cheapest option on the market.
