The forward doesn't want to miss so many Barcelona games after breaking into the first team

Abde has burst onto the scene at Barcelona this season. Signed from Hercules in the summer, initially for the B team, he's benefitted from the plague of injuries suffered by the first team.

He has taken advantage of his chance, earning Xavi Hernandez's confidence and winning his place on the right or left of the Barça attack.

His performances have seen him called up by Morocco for the African Cup of Nations in January but, according to the Journalist Gerard Romero, the player is not keen to take part.

Romero says there are already negotiations with the Moroccan Federation for the player to stay in Barcelona where he doesn't want to lose his place in the team.

This is Abde's desire, but SPORT have learned the Moroccan Federation will refuse to un-call the winger. The also consider him a key player for a big tournament, even though he's never represented his country before beyond U20 level.

Abde, 19, could miss up to a month of competition for Barça, around 10 games, depending on how the progress in different competitions.
