The Monaco midfielder is one of the world's hottest prospects in defensive midfield
Barcelona are about to pull the financial levers at their disposal to be a force in the transfer market and the aim is to give Xavi what he wants by reinforcing many positions in the squad. One of the big goals is to bring in a pivot, replacing Sergio Busquets, and Aurelien Tchouameni of Monaco is a prospect. The Blaugrana have been speaking with his people and the player seems keen on coming to Spain. Madrid have been discussing a deal for a while but now it’s not so clear.
Tchouameni is one of the players that Barcelona like the most for his quality, strength and positioning. They’ve watched him for over a year but economic problems have been a blockage. Le Parisien say the player said no to signing for PSG as he wants to move abroad. The Parisians were willing to pay an out-of-market-valuation 80m for him.
He could leave Monaco for 60m to a Spanish club. Barcelona are also looking at Ruben Neves and Zubimendi for that position.
