Atletico Madrid have another Covid positive in Lucas Torreira
The midfielder had a test and has been diagnosed with the coronavirus
More problems for Atletico Madrid. Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira will be out for their next matches, starting with Barcelona on Saturday, after testing positive for the coronavirus. He caught the virus while with his national team, just as Luis Suarez did.
Lucas and Suarez are big absences for Diego Simeone. Suarez cannot yet return to Spain as he is in quarantine in Uruguay.
The midfielder has no symptoms but because of protocol must stay put for a few days until he tests negative. Atletico confirmed the news.
They will also miss the game against Lokomotiv Moscow in the Champions League most likely. Atletico are angry with the Uruguayan FA as they have been directly affected by their covid failures.
Hector Herrera will also be out after returning from Mexico duty with a hamstring issue.
