The Portugal international will miss the weekend's game at the Bernabeu
Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix is set to meet this weekend's game against Real Madrid with a muscle injury in his right leg.
Madrid host Atletico at the Bernabeu on Saturday at 4pm but will be without their club-record signing, although they have not confirmed how long he will be sidelined for.
"Joao Felix suffered a muscle injury to his right leg during Sunday’s match against Club Deportivo Leganes," Atletico confirmed in a statement.
"Given the ongoing pain after the day of rest, the club’s medical services have performed tests to diagnose the injury. He is pending a response to treatment."
