FC Barcelona are hoping to include the Chilean in a deal to bring Lautaro to the Camp Nou

Arturo Vidal is looking like an important part of any possible deal for Lautaro Martinez. Inter Milan are keen on bringing the Chilean midfielder back to Serie A and FC Barcelona see this as the perfect opportunity to strike a deal where everybody ends up winning.

Antonio Conte helped Vidal rise to prominence at Juventus after he signed him from Bayer Leverkusen. Under Conte, Vidal stepped up his game and left his mark on Italian football. He was a constant starter for three years and became the heartbeat of the Italian champions.

CONTE'S FIRST CHOICE

It's been no secret that Conte wants to call upon Vidal's experience and leadership ever since he took over at the club. The coach even went as far to contact the midfielder directly back in January to ask him about a move to Italy.

At that time, Vidal turned him down and said he was happy at Barça due to an increased amount of playing time.

However Conte is expected to make a renewed move in the summer. Despite the fact Vidal will turn 33 by the summer, there's a belief he can add something unique to this ambitious Inter side.

For Barça, it also offers a chance to reduce the cost of Lautaro Martinez. Right now, Inter are asking for €111M but with Vidal included in the transfer that fee could drop by €20-25m.

No one at the Camp Nou is going to block Vidal's departure as they search to lower the club's wage budget. It's time to hand opportunities to the likes of Carles Aleña, Riqui Puig or Collado.
