Alex Telles edges towards PSG & opens door for Kurzawa to Barça

PSG will pay around 25 million euros for the Porto full-back this summer

Barcelona have been looking for a left-back who can provide competition for Jordi Alba for a while. On the list, as long as they can find a taker for Junior Firpo, are two players, Alex Telles and Layvin Kurzawa.

The two are linked as well. Porto defender Telles is edging closer to a move to Paris Saint-Germain, which would open the door for Kurzawa, who is out of contract this summer anyway, to leave the French club.

Brazilian outlets like Globo and reports in Portuguese newspaper A Bola report PSG will offer 25 million euros for Telles. The Brazilian, who used to play for Galatasaray, only has a deal until 2021 and has told the club of his desire to leave.

Despite being a defender by trade, Telles is an attacking player and is the third top scorer at Porto this season, with 10 goals and nine assists in 40 matches.

His performances have also brought attention from Barça, but talks with PSG are advanced and it seems unlikely that the Catalans can compete financially.

Kurzawa

If Telles joins PSG, he would compete for a starting spot with Juan Bernat, who is also an attacking full-back. PSG's plan was to renew Kurzawa's deal but that has not come to furition.

Therefore, he will be free to leave for nothing at the end of the season and Barça are one of the clubs keen. However, Arsenal are among a number of other sides in the hunt.
