The Italian revealed a conversation he had with the Liverpool boss

Carlo Ancelotti says Jurgen Klopp described the decision to play Liverpool v Atletico during the coronavirus era was a ‘criminal act’.

The Liverpool coach saw his team eliminated from the Champions League at Anfield and thinks the game should not have gone ahead for safety reasons.

Ancelotti told Corriere dello Sport: "I spoke with Klopp a few days ago, he told me that the decision to play Liverpool-Atletico was a criminal act and I think he's right."

The Italian also said that football and the rest of life is going to be different for a while because of the crisis.

“We are all living a life that we were not used to and that will change us profoundly,” said the veteran coach. “I’m sure we will all have to downsize, starting with football.”
