The Uruguayan scored the fourth in Barça's win over Mallorca on Saturday

Luis Suarez scored one of the goals of the season as Barcelona beat Mallorca 5-2 at Camp Nou on Saturday, with Lionel Messi netting a hat-trick.

Suarez scored the fourth goal in the win. The Uruguayan striker's effort was a back-heel after brilliant work from Frenkie de Jong to set it up.

"I knew that I didn't have much of an angle," Suarez explained to Movistar. "The only option I had was to try and connect as strongly as possible with my heel to try and limit the goalkeeper's chances of saving it. It's one of the best goals of my career."

On his teammate and friend Messi, who once again stole the show, he added: "He keeps demonstrating that he's the best in the world."

As for Barça's collective performance, the striker said: "The important thing is to find our rhythm and get to know the new players, like De Jong, Junior and Griezmann. We're in a good dynamic. The first half was spectacular and defines the confidence we're getting the more games we play.

"We are aware that there have been games when we've not been at our level but today we had confidence, we all looked for each other and the game went well."
